The shop keeps stock on one sheet and the till on another. Labels are made by hand, discounts are applied from memory and reordering starts when the product has already run out.
What I build for retail starts with the integration between point of sale and warehouse: a sale that deducts in real time, reorder thresholds that warn before stock runs out, labels generated by the system. The shop and the warehouse live on the same data.
